Bedford Town Center North Wing
This 1950’s former school building currently houses care and recreation programs for children and young teens in before and after school programs.
Gienapp Design provided architectural and engineering services to upgrade and modernize the building through creating distinct user areas, providing refreshed interior finishes and installing new energy efficient mechanical systems. The drab 1950’s interior was brightened with energy efficient lighting and an abundance of bright, lively colors and patterns.
The design provided new energy efficient windows, building insulation and accessibility improvements. The building is physically attached, and mechanically integrated, with the historical Town Center Building recently renovated as the Senior Center, providing a true multi-generational facility. This $1.4 million renovation completes the rehabilitation of the complex.
